If you believe in the work that
HDFS is doing and would like to help, there are
several ways how you can.
You could :

Donate

Help us to rebuild broken lives. Because of our
tax-exempt facility, we do not have an online
payment option but require you to
fill up an online
donation form
and submit to us. Your gift (however large or
small) will contribute towards a better life for our
children.
We are always grateful for contributions because it
eases our load on our operating expenses. Perhaps
you may want to donate any one or more of the items
which we need at the Children’s Village.

Individual donors or organizations may get more
personally involved with HDFS by sponsoring a child.
It costs at least Rs.1250 (about US$ 35) per month
to maintain a child in HDFS.
This amount will help pay for the following: -
• Food and living expenses
• Personal clothing and medical expenses
• School fees, books, uniforms, school transport
Sponsors receive regular updates of the child’s
progress as well as correspondence from the child
too.

You can also opt to sponsor HDFS’s fixed operating
expenses such as the following:
• Electricity bills (approx. US$ 350 per quarter)
• Internet connectivity (US$ 180 per year)
• Educational excursions/workshops (approx. US$ 250
per year)
• Mid-day snack for kindergarten children (US$ 120
half yearly)
• Administrative transport (approx. US$ 1000
quarterly)
Your sponsorship of expenses will go a long
way in subsidizing our standard operating expenses
and help us to channel more funds towards service
and child care expenses.

help children from adverse backgrounds.
If you are
between jobs, a student on vacation, a tourist on a
holiday, or if your organisation promotes or
supports voluntary work you could look at helping
HDFS achieve the goal of getting every needy and
destitute child of Sikkim in school and learning
well. Your input is very significant. Some of you
may not be able to commit long-term but you may be
able to contribute in another way.
